Agenda: Learning to Read: Literacy at TPES
With the Book Fair (February 2-9) and Read-a- thon (March) fundraisers coming up, February’s PTA meeting will focus on the teaching of literacy – which is one of our school’s main goals. Dr. Gadsden, as well as TPES Reading Specialist Teacher Gina Woods, will discuss the school’s approaches to reading and literacy, and some strategies for struggling readers at home and at school.. They also will take questions about reading instruction at TPES.
In addition, we will hear about the principal search at Piney Branch Elementary, and the Down- county Consortium boundaries. As always, free pizza for the kids and babysitting. Please join us.
