You can be a grandparent, a concerned neighbor or citizen, a student, a parent, etc. All are welcome.

Fund enrollment support for our whole community
Fund & fully stock teacher bathrooms
Fund meals for the entire school staff
Fund & provide free books for all TPES students
Fund & supply grocery gift cards for families in need
Fund & contribute school supplies & playground equipment
Fund and organize in-school assemblies
Host Big Read Nights for Hispanic Heritage and Black History Months
Fund and organize back-to-school events and family socials
Manage TPES merch store and clothing inventory
Fund and maintain care of the atrium and outdoor gardens
Maintain strong relationships with the MCCPTA & NAACP
Fund & organize all after-school activities and clubs
Manage WhatsApp Community
Oversee all Room Parent initiatives
Oversee and manage all parent volunteering
Coordinate annual Read-A-Thon
Provide 5 days worth of goodies for school staff during Teacher Appreciation Week
Support social services and families that need it
Put in 100s of hours of volunteer work throughout the school year

All dues go towards membership of the National PTA, the organization that governs the Takoma Park Elementary School PTA.
